3. Visiting our website (server log files)
When you access our website, our hosting provider automatically records information transmitted by your browser in what are known as server log files:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file requested
- referrer URL
- browser type and version
- operating system
Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring system security and stability, defending against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and uninterrupted operation of our website.
Retention: 14 days, then automatic deletion. This data is not combined with other data sources.
It is neither shared nor evaluated for marketing purposes.
4. Contact form and contact by email
We provide a contact form on our website. In doing so we process the following data:
| Field | Required | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Name | yes | Addressing you personally and attributing the enquiry |
| Company | no | Understanding the context of your enquiry |
| Email address | yes | Responding to your enquiry |
| Area of interest | no | Routing to the right contact person |
| Message | yes | The substance of your enquiry |
| Consent checkbox | yes | Evidencing your consent |
Purpose: handling and responding to your enquiry and, where applicable, the initiation of a contractual relationship.
Legal basis:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract;
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for any information beyond that.
Recipients: the form submission is sent as an email to our business address. The data is not stored in a database on our web server. Access is limited to those members of our company handling the enquiry.
Retention: we retain your enquiry until it has been conclusively dealt with and no further questions are expected, and at most 24 months after the last contact. Where your enquiry leads to a contractual relationship, statutory retention periods apply — in particular 7 years under § 212 UGB and § 132 BAO for records relevant to tax law.
A note on what you send us: please do not use the contact form to send us special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR (such as health data). To share sensitive information, please contact us by phone.
The same applies correspondingly if you contact us directly by email or telephone.
5. Cookies and consent management
5.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We distinguish between strictly necessary cookies and cookies requiring consent.
5.2 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function — for example to store your language preference and your cookie choice. They are set without your consent.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021).
5.3 Cookies and services requiring consent
All services described in sections 6 and 7 are loaded and activated only after your express consent. For as long as you have not given consent, or have declined, these services are not executed and transmit no data.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) TKG 2021.
5.4 Consent management with Real Cookie Banner
We use the consent management platform Real Cookie Banner to obtain, manage and document your consent.
Provider: devowl.io GmbH, Germany (European Union).
Real Cookie Banner runs entirely on our own server. Your decision is stored in a first-party cookie (real_cookie_banner-*) on your own device and as consent documentation in our own database. No consent data is transmitted to an external provider and no transfer to a third country takes place.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (compliance with the obligation to demonstrate consent under Art. 7(1) GDPR) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Retention: 365 days, after which you will be asked for your decision again.
How it works technically: Real Cookie Banner blocks scripts requiring consent before they are executed (content blocker). For as long as no consent exists, these services are neither loaded nor executed and no data is transmitted.
Changing your choice: you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the buttons on our Cookie Policy page.
5.5 Do Not Track
This website respects the Do Not Track (DNT) signal sent by your browser. If DNT is active, services requiring consent are not loaded and no consent banner is shown. No separate refusal is needed in that case.
The Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is not currently evaluated separately. Declining via the consent banner has the same effect.
6. Web analytics
6.1 Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Purpose: evaluating how our website is used, in order to improve our content and offering.
Data processed: truncated IP address, device and browser information, approximate location (country/region), pages viewed, time on page, traffic source, events triggered, and a pseudonymous user identifier (client ID).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
How the block works technically: the Google Analytics script is blocked by our consent management tool for as long as no consent exists. It is not loaded and not executed, and no data whatsoever is transmitted to Google before you agree. If you decline, the block remains in place.
IP anonymisation: for Google Analytics 4 properties, IP address anonymisation is enabled by default and permanently.
International transfer: once consent has been given, transfer to the United States cannot be excluded. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023. Standard Contractual Clauses are in place in addition.
Retention: 14 months from the last user interaction; cookies for a maximum of 24 months.

6.2 No Google Tag Manager
This website does not use Google Tag Manager. A previously embedded container was removed on 4 August 2026.
6.3 Microsoft Clarity
This website uses Microsoft Clarity, an analytics tool for evaluating usage behaviour.
Provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
Purpose: identifying usability problems and improving ease of use through anonymised evaluation of clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page views.
Data processed: truncated IP address, device and browser information, interaction events and a pseudonymous identifier. Input in form fields is masked and not transmitted in clear text.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
How the block works technically: the Clarity script is blocked by our consent tool for as long as no consent exists. It is not loaded and not executed, and no data whatsoever is transmitted to Microsoft before you agree. If you decline, the block remains in place.
International transfer: once consent has been given, transfer to the United States cannot be excluded. Microsoft is self-certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023.
Cookies: _clck (retention 1 year), _clsk (retention 1 day).

7. Other integrated services
7.1 Hosting — SiteGround
Our website is hosted by SiteGround Spain S.L., Calle de Prim 19, 28004 Madrid, Spain. The provider processes the data described in section 3 on our behalf. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The servers are located within the European Union.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in secure and efficient provision of our website.
7.2 Fonts (self-hosted)
The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server. Loading them establishes no connection to Google servers and your IP address is not transmitted to any third party.
7.3 No Gravatar
The Gravatar service (Automattic Inc., USA) is not used on this website. Display of profile images was disabled on 4 August 2026, so no IP addresses are transmitted to Automattic.
8. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
9. No disclosure for advertising purposes
We do not sell your personal data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising purposes. Disclosure occurs only to the processors named in this policy and to authorities and courts where we are legally obliged to do so.
10. Data security
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connection. You can recognise this by the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar. Data you transmit to us is therefore protected against unauthorised access by third parties.
11. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the services we use or the legal framework change. The version published on this page applies. The date of the most recent change appears at the top of this policy.
